Flying down from Glasgow to London for the debrief event, it was timed nicely with The 1987’s Fighting Malaria concert. With Geo, my second assistant, going down for a training course we managed to book seats next to each other on the same flight – and just like every flight on the trip, drinks were most definitely involved.. P.S. did you know heineken is 5%?
Arriving in Putney we each checked into our hotels and met up with Sarah and George from the Zimbabwe trip for a Wagamamas. Throughout dinner we kept comparing trips and sharing stories.
Heading to the gig I felt a mixture of emotions, being able to see everyone again after all the trips and get a good catch up in a really positive environment was going to be great!
This blog post won’t be too long because most of the night was spent either catching up, dancing or waiting at the bar! Returning back to the Lodge that night I made sure I had an alarm set for the morning, ready for my full 6 hours of sleep…
